Rabbi Hershel Lutch

Rabbi Hershel Lutch, MBA, MSM, Executive Director
Rabbi Lutch manages finances, development, public relations, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations. He received smicha from the Ohr Lagolah Leadership Institute, a Jerusalem-based kollel, and holds both an MBA and an MS in Nonprofit Management (MSM) from the University of Maryland. An unabashed workaholic, Rabbi Lutch channels his attention to detail into creating a positive experience for students, parents, faculty, and staff. Prior to joining the staff at Yeshivat Rambam, Rabbi Lutch served as Executive Director of the Torah School of Greater Washington for four years. Rabbi Lutch and his wife, Ariel, are the proud parents of two Yeshivat Rambam students.

Rabbi Yakov Majeski

Rabbi Yakov Majeski, Middle and High School Boys Principal
Rabbi Yakov Majeski spent six years in bet midrash and received smicha (Rav u'Manhig) from Rabbi Weinfeld at Lev Avraham Yeshiva in Jerusalem, and a Masters in Education and Human Development from George Washington University. Before arriving at Yeshivat Rambam, Rabbi Majeski taught for 11 years in the DC area. He was Mashgiach Ruchani at the Jewish Primary Day School in Washington, DC; Middle School Director at the Hebrew Day Institute in Silver Spring, MD; and a rebbe, teaching hundreds of elementary- through middle-school boys and girls. Many Rambam students have known him for years as "Rabbi Majik," their Head Counselor at Camp Shoresh. He is also known for his friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude toward students, faculty, and parents. After one year as Dean of Boys at Yeshivat Rambam, Rabbi Majeski is now the Boys Middle & High School Principal. He and his wife Shanni, proud Rambam parents, have four children. They enjoy living in Baltimore and look forward to being part of the Rambam family for years to come.

Mrs. Shira Tuchman

Mrs. Shira Tuchman, Middle and High School Girls Principal
Shira Tuchman is a veteran Judaic Studies educator on the middle and high school levels, with 21 years' experience teaching, mentoring, and developing curriculum. This past year, she served as Dean of Students for the MS/HS girls. Mrs. Tuchman began her career at Beth Tfiloh Community School, where she spent 11 years teaching, implementing Tanach curriculum, and mentoring new teachers. For the last 10 years, Mrs. Tuchman has taught a wide range of limudei kodesh subjects to middle and high school girls at Yeshivat Rambam, and in fact has taught Chumash, Navi, and Halacha to every middle schooler for the last decade. She served as the Girls Middle-School Activities Coordinator, spearheaded the Bat Mitzvah program, and worked as a mechanechet. As Principal of the MS/HS Girls' division, Mrs. Tuchman hopes to continue to foster the warmth and sense of family that makes Yeshivat Rambam so unique, at the same time she furthers the professional and academic atmosphere of the school.
Mrs. Tuchman holds a BA in English/Communications from Stern College for Women and a teacher's certificate from Michlala. She formerly worked in the advertising industry, and was instrumental in promoting the nascent Chai Lifeline. She has been living in Baltimore with her husband for the last 21 years and has five children ranging in age from 11 to 20.

Rabbi Shmuel Feld

Rabbi Shmuel Feld, Elementary School Principal
In addition to holding a Master of Education from Harvard University, Rabbi Feld has also been a teacher, rebbe, and day school principal. He is known for creating religious programs and experiences for our students by integrating both General and Judaic studies seamlessly through math, science, art, and drama. Rabbi Feld lives in Silver Spring with his wife and two sons.

Rachel Rotenberg

Rachel Rotenberg, Director Early Childhood Center (ECC)
Mrs. Rotenberg received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, holds a Master's Certificate in Jewish Education from Baltimore Hebrew University, and attended a two-year specialized Early Childhood Education program at Santa Monica College in California. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education in from Towson University. Mrs. Rotenberg has over 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. She has taught in schools in California, New York, and Baltimore, and has also been involved in program development in many different areas. Prior to becoming the director of the YRECC, Mrs. Rotenberg was the Parenting Center Coordinator at the JCC-Park Heights for nine years, and also developed monthly programs at the Owings Mills and Park Heights Jewish Community Centers.
